Principle of the assay: The MyBioSource rat ICAM-1 ELISA Kit is based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A rat monoclonal antibody from mouse specific for ICAM-1 has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards (NSO, Q28 - T493) and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for ICAM-1 is added subsequently and then followed by washing with the prepared wash buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex is added and unbound conjugates are washed away with the prepared wash buffer. HRP substrate TMB is used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB is catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changes into yellow after adding acidic stop solu-tion.
